Formerly known as the UEFA Cup, the UEFA Europa League is European soccer’s second-biggest club competition. The 2024/25 edition of the competition mark’s the first time that teams will compete in a league format, consisting of a single, joint group of all 36 teams.
We’re tracking the odds movement of every single team throughout the tournament, including some intriguing longshots. The graphs below are generated by calculating the average odds from several of the most trusted sportsbooks.
This season’s final for the UEFA Europa League is set for Saturday, May 21, 2025, at the San Mamés Stadium in Bilbao, Spain.

Odds movement notes of teams participating in the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League over the course of the competition include:
- [Oct 25] – A third win has Anderlecht climbing both the Europa League standings and its odds table. After opening at +10000, Les Mauves are now getting +5000 to win the competition and are one of the three remaining teams with a perfect record after Matchday 3.
- [Oct 4] – Athletic Bilbao climbed the Europa League odds table, moving from +1100 to +800, after their convincing 2-0 win over AZ Alkmaar. Meanwhile, Roma’s odds barely moved following their shock 1-0 loss at IF Elfsborg, with the Giallorossi going from +800 to just +900, despite sitting in 27th on the table.
- [Sep 27] – No major movement among the favorites after the first matchday, but the odds table saw some action further down the table. For Bodø/Glimt, it was a jump from +17000 to +11375 after defeating Porto 3-2 in Norway. After the loss, the Portuguese side saw their Europa League odds drop from +1325 to +1550.
- [Sep 13] – With two weeks to go before the start of the next Europa League competition, a pair of British clubs open as favorites. Looking for their first major European trophy since 1984, Tottenham Hotspur sit as +450 favorites. Right behind are Manchester United (+500), who are hoping to collect their second UEL trophy.
Last year’s final was won by Atalanta, who claimed their first European title by defeating Bayer Leverkusen 3-0.

Sometimes it’s worth waiting to bet on the Europa League winner until one of the Champions League teams drops down into the competition. After the UCL Group Stage, big-time clubs will often drop into the mix and completely shake up the odds.
Despite the tournament featuring some of the lesser teams in Europe, the title is often lifted by a side coming from one of the Big Five leagues in the continent. That’s been the case in each of the past 13 years. Porto, winners in 2010 from the Portuguese Primeira Liga, were the last club from outside the Big Five to win the Europa League.
Spain, Italy, and England have dominated this competition over the years with fourteen, ten, and nine titles respectively. Next in line is Germany with seven winners and Netherlands with four.
Teams With Most Europa League Titles
2023’s title extended Sevilla’s record to seven Europa League titles in seven championship appearances, five of which came in the past eleven years.
Even though Juventus and Inter rank near the top of the all-time records with three wins each, it’s been a long time since either has won a UEL trophy. Juventus last won 1993, while Inter did so in 1998. The few-and-far between of their titles is primarily due to their involvement in the concurrent Champions League.
French side Marseille and Portuguese Benfica have come up just short on the most occasions, having been a runner-up three times each. Both did so recently with Marseille in 2018 and Benfica in 2014.
