Navajo Stirling vs Phillip Latu Odds & Pick

All six of 33-year-old Phillip Latu’s wins have come via knockout prior to Dana White’s Contender Series Week 5 bout with Navajo Sterling. The Elevation Fight Team product has won each of his past four fights, with his only career loss coming via submission.

On the other side of the cage,  26-year-old Navajo Stirling (4-0) has seven years of youth on his opponent on Tuesday night.  The 6’4 Auckland, New Zealand native is an absolute monster in the cage. He’s won three of his four contests by knockout and decimates opponents with his gargantuan 82.7-inch reach. Stirling defeated Sam Kei in June to win the Hex MMA Light Heavyweight championship.

Latu is a game opponent, and training with the likes of Curtis Blaydes and Cory Sandhagen in Denver, Colorado has helped him hone his skills. However, he’s being fed to the wolves here. Stirling is a much larger, ascending prospect, and has far more routes to victory than Latu.

The American, Latu is a powerful striker, but he lacks the creativity of his Kiwi opponent. Lay your wager on Stirling to end this fight quickly.  With the New Zealand native being such a heavy favorite, be sure to check out our best UFC betting sites for the very best price.

  • Pick: Navajo Stirling to win (-298)

Quemel Ottoni vs Kody Steele Odds & Pick

Also on the docket for Dana White’s Contender Series Week 5 is an intriguing welterweight fight between Quemel Ottoni (12-3) and Kody Steele (6-0).

Fighting out of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Ottoni has racked up three submission victories thus far in his career. He’s on a five-fight winning streak, but last competed all the way back in May of 2022.

Meanwhile, Kody Steele is an undefeated American prospect fighting out of Austin, Texas. The 29-year-old has been far more active, most recently knocking out Alejandro Martinez at Fury FC 89 in April.

The Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt is on a three-fight knockout streak and looks lethal in the cage. He competed at the UFC Fight Pass Invitational grappling event earlier this year and looks ready to sign that UFC contract. Back Steele to earn Uncle Dana’s love on Tuesday night.

  • Pick: Kody Steele to win (-225)
